Check Your Competitor Keywords and Ranking

Want to know what keywords are using by your competitor and how the ranking is, you can use the Google Keyword Tool & Rank Checker Tool to check it.

1) Go to Google Keyword Tool page. Select “Website content” and enter your competitor URL. Click “Get keyword ideas“.

2) The result will show on the bottom area. After the result appears, if your want to see more detail information you can make some adjustment, on the “Choose columns to display” drop down menu, select “Show All“. And “Match Type” select “Broad“. It will reload the result again.

3) The keywords will show on the left hand side. Now you can see what keywords are using by your competitor. Go to bottom and download the keywords result. Choose “csv (for excel)“.

4) Next is using Rank Checker Tool to check the ranking. But this free tool is just support FireFox browser only. So if you don’t have FireFox, click here to download it. After install FireFox, open the FireFox browser and click here to install the FireFox Rank Checker extension.

5) After install Rank Checker extension, you need to restart the FireFox browser. You will see Rank Checker icon in the bottom of your FireFox browser Click on the Rank Checker icon to open the tool.

6) Use Excel open the keywords file you download just now. Under the Keywords column, select the keywords from top to down and copy it.

7) Go to Rank Checker, click on “Add Multiple Keywords“.

8) Paste the keywords into it. And enter your competitor URL. Finish, click “Add” button and close the window.

9) Back to the Rank Checker window, click the “Start” button.

10) After finish checking, it will show you how the keyword ranking in Google, Yahoo and Live. From here you will know more about your competitor information.

Performancing Ads let You Make Money from Your Blog

Performancing Ads is a new Blog Ads platform. It own by SplashPress. Any blogger can apply, account approve on the spot.

The Ads display format is 125 x 125. You can display the Ads either in your blog header, sidebar or footer.

You can set how much you want to charge for the Ads, Price per Ad (weekly). If get Advertiser buy it, you will get 60% of the price. Performancing Ads will get 40%. Example, if you charge $10 for the Ads, mean you will get $6 and Performancing Ads will get $4.

The payment will pay to your PayPal account every month. So you need to have Paypal account.

Performancing Ads get one more feature is if not Advertise buy your Ads space, it will display other non money Ads and you will earn credit point. You can use the credit to create your own banner to display in other blogs.

Performancing Ads also have plugin available. It support most of the PHP platform Applications, eg. WordPress, Joomla and Drupal etc.

After sign up as a member, you need to add your site. Go to “Add a Site“, fill up your Blog detail.

Next go to “Add a region“. On this section, you can set how many Ads you want to display and how much you want to charge. The default price is $2.50.

After Add a region, you will get a code. Paste the code to your blog, where you want the Ads to display.

How to Remove Blogger Navbar

Have you seen some of the Blogger blog (blogspot) don’t have the Blogger Navbar on top of the site? eg. http://ipodiphone4all.blogspot.com.

Feel the top Blogger Navbar spoil your blog design and want to disable it like others. You can do it yourself also, the steps are very simple.

1) After Log in to your Blogger account, go to Layout -> Edit HTML.

2) Copy the CSS code below:

#navbar, #navbar-iframe {
visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}

3) Paste it on top of “/* Variable definitions” section. See the sample below.

4) Save Template and go to view your blog without the Blogger Navbar. If you want the Blogger Navbar appear back, just remove the CSS code.
